A friend of mine made a beautiful short film called Almost Eleven and decided to launch it on a blog, also called Almost Eleven, as a low-fi alternative to a screening. Here's some stills from it, and you can watch the film here. xxxx

All the images above are from Type Nerd, otherwise known as Seth A. Ferris, a designer from Los Angeles. It's worth having a look around the website. There's some nice projects there. Click to see details. xxxx
Extremely exciting.... we've just got an office space that will also become a shop later on for the Tika project. It's got a really good display window (which I'll show some pictures of once I've taken them). It kind of reminds me of this gallery window where Sanne from Living on the Move had a show in at the end of last year. Hopefully our window looks as nice as this display..... xxxx

I had to do a cute diagram for work yesterday, and I found a tea cosy at the charity shop up the road. I like it with next to my Pantone mugs. xxxx
While I'm looking at images of quilted things, I should post an invitation to an exhibition I did years ago where I made an entire bedspread and pillow out of paper I coloured in with black biro. I was working in an art museum as an attendent at the time, and I got lots of my work mates to help me with the colouring in, because, as you can imagine it took a long time. It generally took about a day to cover an A4 sheet with biro. But it was lots of fun!! xxxx

When I was buying second hand books the other day I also got a book called 'Embroidered Boxes', published in 1982. In the above pic someone went to the trouble to make a quilted cover for their folder of quilt designs. Also the cushion cover spells out the words 'Jane Lemon', who I'm guessing is either the person who made it, or a friend of hers who got it as a cute present. xxxx

Today I bought a book second hand book called 'Folk Arts from Norway' which was published in 1972. Here's a piece of knitwear and a piece of weaving from the book which I like. xxxx
These cool pictures come from Sagmeister who are speakers this year at Typo Berlin. They are from brochures they did for New York fashion designer Anni Kuan. The whole catalogue spells out 'material luxuries can best be enjoyed in small doses'. And the gold used on the 'material' poster (top right) is real gold. Images from the Sagmeister website. There's nice graphics to look at on the Anni Kuan website too. xxxx
I found this cute amugurumi monkey in an Op shop yesterday. And I found out about Kent Rogowski's inside out bears (below) via the Vive Le Freak blog. Have a good weekend! xxxx

I've seen a couple of great tanks lately. I found the balloon tank here and the knitted tank cover here. xxxx
I thought I'd post some of the rough drawings for tea-cosies that are getting made in Peru for the Tika project. (see post below). Such a fun job to be working on!! xxxx
All the images above are from the Mexican design group Hula + Hula. Have a look at the site. There's lots of fun, colourful typography and graphics to see there. Also you can click to enlarge. xxxx
