Positive Posters is an annual competition for graphic designers. This year's them was 'Optimism'. Above is the poster I submitted (you can see a larger image here), or you can view all the other entries here.

These amazing scarves are made on a hand operated knitting machine by the designer in Melbourne. Primoeza is the name of the label. There's an online store and more information here. xxxx

A friend and I were having a conversation last night about Helen Frankenthaler - a New York, colour field artist who was influential in the 1960's. She used to thin down her oil paints with turps to stain her canvases, creating really nice gradients between her colours. You can see more of her work and read about her here.

Here are some 3D works I made for a recent competition submission. Sometime in the near future they should exist as silk scarves. Larger versions of the images here. xxxx

It's great to see someone giving the plastic shopping bag some TLC, before they become a thing of the past. These are made by Josh Blackwell. Found via Banquet.

I just got the new book Bernhard Willhelm & Jutta Kraus, and in the same week found one of his dresses second hand. The middle image was taken from fashionising.com. It's part of his SS2010 collection. The other images are the front and back cover of the book. xxxx
I was having a look around for nice screen-prints because of my course and I came across Matohu, who showed at Tokoyo Fashion Week, Spring 2010.
I spent more time looking at the purple dyeing effects than the prints. Have to try it. Images via coolechicstylefashion. xxxx
